Many people experience pimples, which are formed through the clogging of pores with oil and dead skin cells. Pimples can exist in two states: The Whitehead form and the Blackhead form. When oils and dead skin fill the pores, and the pores are closed, then this pimple is known as the whiteheads. However, if the pores are clogged, but remain open, then the acne is called a blackhead.
People who have blackheads will agree with us that this form of pimple can be quite embarrassing. And more so, while trying to press out the dirt, it can be very painful. If you want to get rid of pimples easily, then you are best advised to rinse your face, at least in the morning and evening. By so doing, it will help remove the specks of dirt on your face or any bacteria that have relaxed on your face over the night. However, ensure that you do not over-rinse your face; otherwise, you may strip your skin and, consequently, allow for the production of more oil that clogs the skin pores.
Also, endeavour to wash your face after your exercise routine to remove sweats. The reason is that alongside dirt and oil, sweats can also get entrapped in the skin pores. Hence, try always to rinse your face, or better still, use a gentle facial cleansing wipe.
Although conventional exfoliation may involve harsh scrubs that can actually inflame the acne, some gentle chemical exfoliants are available that you can use. Ask for alpha and beta hydroxy acids (AHAs and BHAs); they are mild acids that help get rid of dead skin cells. Also, they help remove any obstacle on the face that may hinder the performance of other skincare products.
You should check out salicylic acid for pimples (BHA). This product is an excellent option for clearing out dirt in the pores. AHA options include glycolic and lactic acids, which are water-soluble and capable of eliminating lifeless skin cells from the pores.
3. Clay-based mask
For several centuries, clay has been used to get rid of excess oil from the skin and also helps to soften clogged pores. Also, masks made from clay material performs more gently on the skin compared to the pore strips. Clay can get into the pores and help remove the specks of dirt and oil gradually.
Additionally, sulphur is added to some clay masks, which help get rid of dead skin, as well as improve the outlook of blackheads. Nevertheless, this option is not advisable for people who are allergic to sulphur. So, you can simply choose clay-based masks that have no sulphur element.
